Unifonic SMS for GCC merchants on Mrfqy
Saudi Arabia and UAE country packs default to Unifonic — App SID auth, Arabic COD templates, and CITC-compliant sender IDs.
Unifonic is the default SMS provider for Saudi Arabia and UAE country packs on Mrfqy. The integration uses the REST endpoint at el.cloud.unifonic.com with AppSid, Recipient, Body, and SenderID parameters — the same pattern Saudi agencies document for transactional traffic.
GCC country pack defaults
Stores on SA and AE country packs see Unifonic pre-selected in Settings → COD order SMS. Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman merchants can manually choose Unifonic when their Unifonic contract covers those destinations.
Enter your App SID from the Unifonic console and register a CITC-approved sender for Saudi traffic. UAE stores use TRA-registered sender names — Mrfqy does not hardcode sender IDs; you control branding per store.
Platform fallback uses UNIFONIC_APP_SID and UNIFONIC_SENDER env vars when store credentials are empty, letting Starter merchants test COD SMS before Unifonic onboarding completes.
Saudi COD message copy
Mrfqy's buildCodSmsMessage adds explicit COD labeling for SA locale: الدفع عند الاستلام (COD) in Arabic and Pay on delivery (COD) in English — matching what Saudi buyers expect from Noon and local fashion brands.
Use the AI Generate sample SMS button in admin to draft seasonal variants — Ramadan greetings, white-Friday urgency — then edit before saving. AI copy uses OpenRouter with store tone settings.
Combine Unifonic COD SMS with SMSA or Naqel shipping labels: customer gets text confirmation, courier gets printed label, ops sees both in one order detail screen.
GCC COD without SMS is a gamble — Unifonic on Mrfqy is the default answer for Saudi and UAE launch stores.
