Twilio BYO credentials and global SMS fallback on Mrfqy

Twilio is the global SMS backstop for Mrfqy merchants who sell to Lebanese, Iraqi, or Palestinian customers while operating a UAE or Egypt headquarters store. Select Twilio in the provider dropdown, enter Account SID and Auth Token, and route COD confirmations through Twilio's Messaging API.

Bring your own Twilio

Mrfqy never resells Twilio credits — you bill Twilio directly. Paste credentials in Settings → COD order SMS under the Twilio provider fields. Sender IDs must comply with Twilio's country regulations; alphanumeric senders work in many Arab destinations when pre-registered.

Lebanon and Iraq country packs on Mrfqy ship without a default regional SMS provider — Twilio fills the gap for T3 launch-tier stores that still need COD confirmation texts.

Store multiple Twilio messaging services if you operate separate brands — each Mrfqy store instance holds its own credential set in store_sms_configs.

Platform-level fallback role

Mrfqy's failover chain can designate Twilio as tertiary provider: VictoryLink primary, SMS Misr secondary, Twilio tertiary for Egypt stores that need 99.9% delivery during gateway maintenance windows.

Platform operators configure a master Twilio subaccount in env vars for emergency fallback — merchants opt in per store with a toggle (coming) to allow platform-sent SMS when their primary gateway is down.

order_sms_logs records provider slug per message so finance teams can allocate Twilio costs to the correct brand P&L.
