SMSEG SMS gateway for Egyptian e-commerce on Mrfqy

SMSEG is a Cairo-based SMS gateway used by Egyptian retailers, pharmacies, and food delivery brands that need reliable local termination without international aggregator markups. Mrfqy adds SMSEG to the Egypt provider list so merchants with existing SMSEG wallets can paste API credentials directly.

When to choose SMSEG over VictoryLink

Merchants already billing SMSEG for warehouse pick alerts or driver dispatch often prefer one vendor for all transactional SMS. Mrfqy's provider override lets you keep SMSEG as the single invoice line while checkout COD confirmations use the same sender ID.

SMSEG supports Arabic GSM-7 and Unicode for emoji-free professional copy — important when your COD template includes store name and order total in Arabic numerals.

Admin setup in three steps

Open Settings → COD order SMS, toggle enable, select SMSEG from the provider dropdown. Egypt country packs pre-select VictoryLink — changing to SMSEG is intentional override, not a bug.

Enter API key and sender ID fields exposed for SMSEG. Save once; the GET /admin/store/sms endpoint returns masked credentials on subsequent loads so staff cannot copy secrets from browser devtools.

Place a test COD order. Check order_sms_logs in admin order detail (coming) or SMSEG delivery reports for DELIVRD status within 60 seconds.
