How to configure SMS in the Mrfqy admin dashboard
Step-by-step: enable COD SMS, pick your gateway, enter credentials, set sender ID, and test with a live order.
SMS configuration lives in Dashboard → Settings alongside email, digital products, and compliance cards. No separate app install, no developer portal OAuth — merchants with store admin access can enable COD confirmations in under five minutes.
Settings walkthrough
Navigate to Dashboard → Settings and find the COD order SMS card. Toggle Enable COD SMS confirmations — this controls whether the notification service calls your gateway on new COD orders.
Provider dropdown lists VictoryLink, SMS Misr, SMSEG, Cequens, Unifonic, Infobip, and Twilio. Default selection comes from your store country pack — Egypt shows VictoryLink, Saudi shows Unifonic, Morocco shows Infobip.
Enter provider-specific fields: VictoryLink wants username and password; Unifonic wants App SID; Infobip wants API key; Twilio wants Account SID and Auth Token. Sender ID is universal — paste your regulator-approved brand name.
API endpoints and testing
The admin UI calls GET /admin/store/sms to load current config and PATCH /admin/store/sms to save. Multi-store staff must select the correct store context — SMS config is per store, not per account.
Test by placing a COD order on your live storefront with your own phone number. Check the order in Dashboard → Orders — SMS status appears in order_sms_logs (delivery detail UI expanding).
Use Generate sample SMS for copy review without sending. Use a real order for delivery verification — sandbox modes vary by gateway and are not uniform across providers.
Five minutes in Settings beats five days integrating a standalone SMS plugin — enable, test, ship.
