Bilingual Arabic SMS templates for COD orders
Mrfqy renders COD SMS in Arabic or English from storefront locale — customize copy with AI or edit the built-in template.
Arab shoppers expect Arabic SMS — English-only confirmations feel like phishing when the checkout was in Darija-friendly Arabic. Mrfqy's buildCodSmsMessage function generates locale-aware COD text with order number, store name, formatted total, and country-specific COD phrasing.
Built-in template structure
Arabic default: تم تأكيد طلبك #{orderNumber} من {storeName}. الإجمالي {total} {currency}. الدفع عند الاستلام. Saudi stores append (COD) explicitly for clarity.
English default: Order #{orderNumber} from {storeName} confirmed. Total {total} {currency}. Pay on delivery (COD). Locale follows the storefront language at checkout time.
Currency and total formatting respect store country rules — EGP two decimals, SAR with ر.س symbol in Arabic locale, MAD for Morocco Infobip routes.
AI-generated custom copy
Dashboard → Settings → COD order SMS includes Generate sample SMS — OpenRouter drafts seasonal variants while preserving required order fields. Review before enabling; AI suggestions are starting points, not legal-approved final copy.
Tone settings from your store brand profile influence AI output — formal MSA for luxury, conversational for streetwear COD brands.
Custom templates (expanding) will let merchants override buildCodSmsMessage per store while keeping {orderNumber} and {total} merge tags mandatory for dispute resolution.
Your customer read Arabic at checkout — send Arabic in the SMS. Mrfqy handles the template; you approve the tone.
