Job Title: Agricultural Project Director / Sweet Potato Farm Manager — Founding RoleLocation: Saudi ArabiaType: Full-timeAbout the Project:A new commercial agriculture venture specializing in orange-fleshed sweet potato across an initial 100 hectares with phased expansion, built to substitute imported product through a fully integrated value chain: nursery, cultivation, drip irrigation, post-harvest curing and controlled storage, packing, and marketing. We are seeking a founding leader to build the operation from bare land to market.Your Mission & Responsibilities:Lead the project end-to-end from pre-establishment: site selection, soil/water testing and climate assessment, initial agronomic trials, and securing permits and approvals.Design the agricultural and operational setup; specify and select equipment, machinery, and staff.Manage the full production cycle: nursery and transplant production, cultivation, drip irrigation, fertilization and crop-protection programs, nematode management, and soil health.Oversee post-harvest operations: curing and controlled storage to enable off-season sales of stored product.Manage packing, quality, and the marketing plan (fresh sales + seasonal stored inventory).Build and lead the team; ensure compliance with labor regulations and Saudization.
Required Qualifications (mandatory):B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering or Horticulture (postgraduate preferred).Direct, demonstrable experience in sweet potato production specifically — not general vegetable experience.Drip irrigation experience in hot / subtropical climates.Hands-on post-harvest experience (curing and controlled storage).Preferred:Greenfield agricultural project setup experience.Sweet potato export experience.English language
