About the role
Quality System & Standards: Build and update inspection plans, QC checklists, and acceptance criteria for all Work Orders; define strict quality standards for stainless-steel fabrication, welding, surface finishes, and hygienic food-contact designs.Calibration Management: Establish, track, and maintain the calibration program for all factory measuring and testing instruments.Incoming & In-Process Inspection: Inspect raw materials and supplier deliveries at the warehouse before production release; conduct intermediate inspections at defined hold points (dimensions, welds, assembly, and electrical systems).Final Testing & Gatekeeping: Execute final product inspections and operational run tests in coordination with Engineering; issue official QC reports and make the final release/hold decision for every item.Quality Ownership: Manage and sign off on the Quality copy of every Work Order, ensuring no equipment leaves the factory floor without final QC approval.NCR & Root-Cause Analysis: Direct the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process by logging, segregating, and fixing defective items; lead Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to successful closure.Shop-floor Improvement: Support and promote 5S methodology and continuous-improvement initiatives across all manufacturing workshops.KPIs & Client Handover: Track and report key quality metrics (First-Pass Yield, rework rates, NCR closure) to management; prepare complete quality dossiers and test certificates for client handover.Risk Escalation: Proactively escalate potential quality risks to the Operations Manager within agreed timelines to ensure zero surprises.
Education: BSc in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.Technical Blueprints: Excellent ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).Precision Metrology: Hands-on expertise with precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Language Skills: Professional bilingual fluency in both Arabic and English (written and verbal).Quality & Welding Standards (Preferred): Knowledge of ISO 9001 (Internal Auditor is a plus) and familiarity with welding inspection standards (Visual, CSWIP, or AWS).Hygienic Design & GD&T (Preferred): Exposure to food-grade/hygienic equipment design guidelines (3-A, EHEDG) and familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).Professional Integrity: Strong independence and uncompromising integrity—fully willing to hold/block a product release if quality standards are not met.Detail & Documentation: High attention to detail with a disciplined approach to maintaining accurate inspection records and documentation.Cross-Functional Communication: Clear communication and coordination skills to align effectively with Engineering, Production, and Warehouse teams.Problem-Solving Mindset: Structured approach to troubleshooting using Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) and driving Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA).
