About the role
Preventive Maintenance (PM): Develop and execute routine PM schedules to prevent unexpected breakdowns and optimize equipment lifespan.Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults during equipment breakdowns and execute prompt repairs.Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Investigate equipment failures to determine root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.Spare Parts Management: Monitor inventory, identify critical spare part requirements, and coordinate with vendors for procurement.Reviewing and coordinating between different shifts to ensure the smooth flow of repairs for mechanical faults. Supervising and participating in the repair of all mechanical Repairs needed, obtaining reports detailing the extent of the fault, its causes, the repair method, and the expected completion time. Following up on any complaints or mechanical faults reported by the production management. Establishing a system for explaining and describing mechanical faults and how to address them. Developing a plan for repairing mechanical faults according to priority, coordinating with the maintenance manager in cases where a fault necessitates halting the production line, and determining the required repair time and schedule. Developing a plan for the mechanical spare parts required periodically, including the quantities needed to ensure their regular availability in the warehouses.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering .Experience: Typically 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in an industrial, FMCG, or heavy manufacturing environment.Technical Skills: Deep understanding of rotating equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and reading technical schematics.Software: Proficiency in design and modeling tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
