About the role
Prepare, review, and file accurate VAT returns for a diverse portfolio of clients in compliance with Egyptian tax regulations.Conduct detailed analysis of client transactions to ensure correct VAT treatment and identify potential risks or opportunities.Advise clients on VAT implications of business operations, transactions, and new legislation.Liaise with tax authorities on behalf of clients, managing audits, queries, and correspondence related to VAT matters.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VAT laws, regulations, and best practices, ensuring timely communication of changes to clients and internal teams.Support the implementation and improvement of VAT compliance processes and internal controls.Provide training and guidance to junior accountants and client staff on VAT compliance and reporting requirements.Collaborate with audit, legal, and consulting teams to deliver integrated solutions for clients.Assist in the preparation of documentation for VAT inspections and support clients during tax authority reviews.Contribute to the development of VAT advisory services and participate in business development initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in VAT accounting, indirect tax, or a similar role.Strong knowledge of Egyptian VAT laws and regulations.Proven experience preparing and filing VAT returns for multiple clients or business units.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Ability to interpret and apply complex tax legislation to real-world scenarios.Strong communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in an office-based environment.Professional demeanor and commitment to ethical standards.
