About the role
Review EPC contractor PV system designs, including array layout, string configuration, shading analysis, and performance modeling outputs.Conduct site inspections of PV module installations, mounting structures, DC cabling, and string combiner boxes.Monitor and verify string-level and system-level IV curve testing and performance ratio measurements.Review SCADA and monitoring system configurations for PV generation assets.Oversee the installation and commissioning of DC protection devices, isolators, and surge protection equipment.Review and validate PV energy yield assessments and compare against actual generation data during commissioning.Identify and report installation defects, design deviations, and non-conformances.Coordinate with inverter and module manufacturers for warranty and technical support matters.Support the preparation of performance acceptance test protocols and participate in final acceptance testing.Maintain updated records of PV array performance, IV curve tests, and commissioning results.Provide technical input to monthly and project milestone reports.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy.Minimum 8 years of experience in the solar PV industry, including at least 4 years onsite on utility-scale projects (20 MW+).Strong knowledge of PV module technologies, inverter platforms, and monitoring/SCADA systems.Experience with IEC 62446 testing and PV commissioning protocols.Familiarity with performance modeling tools (e.g., PVsyst) is advantageous.Good technical documentation and reporting skills.
