About the role
Lead and manage the full offsite engineering team, including electrical design, civil, structural, and architectural disciplines.Oversee the technical review and compliance audit of all EPC contractor engineering submittals.Ensure all engineering reviews are conducted against applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.Manage the engineering review schedule and ensure technical comments are issued within contractual review periods.Coordinate technical interfaces between electrical, civil, and structural engineering disciplines.Lead the preparation and quality control of Owner's Engineer technical reports, feasibility validations, and engineering audit deliverables.Provide technical escalation support to the onsite team for complex engineering queries.Review and approve engineering deliverables before submission to the Client or onsite team.Coordinate with the Project Controls Lead on engineering progress tracking and reporting.Manage relationships with specialist sub-consultants supporting the engineering program.Support the Project Director in managing technical aspects of contract variations and claims.Participate in project-level technical review meetings with the Client and EPC contractors.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.Minimum 15 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams on utility-scale solar PV and/or energy storage projects.Strong knowledge of EPC design review, technical specifications, and international engineering standards.Experience in Owner's Engineer or PMC roles is highly preferred.Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
