About the role
Develop Procurement Strategy: Build and update procurement strategies for the group to ensure the highest quality standards at the most competitive costs.Manage International Procurement (Importing):Source international suppliers and establish strong, long-term business relationships.Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and international shipping conditions.Follow up on Letters of Credit ($LCs$), shipping documents, and customs clearance with relevant authorities.Manage Local Procurement: Oversee the efficient and timely sourcing of the group's needs from the local market.Team Leadership & Development: Manage, mentor, and train procurement teams across the group's various business units to elevate performance.Supplier Analysis & Evaluation: Periodically evaluate current suppliers and continuously search for alternatives to mitigate supply chain risks and reduce costs.Budgeting & Reporting: Prepare procurement budgets and submit periodic reports to senior management regarding global and local price trends, as well as inventory status.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field (Professional supply chain certifications such as $CSCP$ or $CIPS$ are highly preferred).Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role (previous experience managing procurement for a multi-activity group of companies is a strong plus).Importing Expertise: Deep knowledge of Egyptian customs laws, international commercial terms ($Incoterms$), and banking procedures related to Letters of Credit.Languages: Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) to effectively lead international negotiations.Technical Skills: Excellent hands-on experience with $ERP$ systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Odoo).
