Stanford Nursery is seeking an experienced and visionary Early Years Academic Director (EYFS) to lead and develop the academic framework across all nursery branches remotely.
This leadership role is responsible for driving curriculum excellence, maintaining consistent academic standards, supporting educational teams, and ensuring outstanding learning outcomes in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and international best practices.The successful candidate will play a key role in curriculum development, academic quality assurance, teacher training, and continuous improvement while working closely with branch managers and teaching teams.Preferred ExperiencePrevious experience as:Early Years Academic DirectorHead of CurriculumEYFS CoordinatorAcademic Quality ManagerExperience in British international nurseries or schools.Familiarity with EYFS, Ofsted, CACHE, or other internationally recognized quality standards.Experience designing and delivering CPD programs.Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital reporting platforms.Proven ability to lead and manage distributed or remote educational teams.Why Join Stanford Nursery?At Stanford Nursery, we believe that exceptional academic leadership is the foundation of outstanding early childhood education.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the academic development of a growing multi-branch nursery group, shape educational excellence, and make a lasting impact on children's learning and development across the UAE.Academic Leadership & Curriculum DevelopmentLead the implementation and continuous improvement of the British EYFS curriculum across all nursery branches.Develop and enhance the Stanford Early Years Curriculum in line with EYFS standards and international best practices.Design annual, termly, and weekly curriculum plans and guide teaching teams in their implementation.Develop and standardize academic policies, procedures, and teaching guidelines across all branches.Stay up to date with the latest research and trends in early childhood education.Academic Quality AssuranceMonitor curriculum implementation through digital quality assurance systems, performance reviews, and periodic branch visits when required.Review lesson plans, assessments, classroom observations, and branch academic reports.Oversee observation-based child assessment systems and ensure consistent implementation.Analyze academic performance data and develop measurable improvement plans.Prepare regular reports for senior management covering curriculum implementation, teaching quality, children's progress, and academic performance indicators.Teacher Development & LeadershipTrain, mentor, and support teachers, supervisors, and branch managers through remote coaching and professional development sessions.Design and implement Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programs.Conduct regular academic meetings to review performance and address educational challenges.Identify training needs and develop individual and team development plans.Innovation & Learning ExcellenceLead initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.Promote play-based and inquiry-based learning aligned with EYFS principles.Support branches in improving classroom environments and teaching practices.Encourage the effective use of digital tools for curriculum planning, assessment, and academic monitoring.Remote Leadership & CollaborationManage academic communication with branch managers and teaching teams using digital collaboration platforms.Ensure consistent academic standards across all nursery branches.Monitor parent satisfaction related to academic quality and recommend improvement initiatives.Partner with senior management to drive the academic growth and strategic development of Stanford Nursery.
Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related discipline is an advantage.Minimum 7 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.Strong expertise in the British EYFS framework and academic quality management.Proven experience in curriculum development and teacher training.Experience overseeing multiple branches or managing multiple educational teams.Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and remote team management skills.
