Join a Reputable Consultant’s Back Office in Egypt, located in Heliopolis, Cairo.We are expanding our Engineering Back Office and are currently seeking highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineers (HVAC & Plumbing) to join our growing team to support our UAE-based projects.. Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC & Plumbing)Experience Required : 10-15 YearsLocation: Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt Job Summary:The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, coordination, and documentation of mechanical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Strong experience in HVAC (AC, chilled water, ventilation, smoke management). • Strong experience in Plumbing (water supply, drainage, stormwater, Fire fighting, LPG). • Experience in residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. • UAE/GCC project experience is a must.Scope of Work: • Prepare mechanical design drawings and layouts for HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage systems. • Perform system calculations including cooling/heating load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing. • Water & Sewage Tank sizing and pump head calculations. • Develop schematic diagram and generate detailed design packages until finalization of the Construction Documents stage. • Prepare, review, and finalize the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and project specifications. • Ensure all designs comply with relevant international and local standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, BS, IEC where applicable). • Coordinate with Electrical, Architectural, and Structural disciplines. • Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical proposals. • Respond to RFIs and provide design clarifications. • Attend coordination meetings with Main Office, consultants, or as required. Requirements & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. • 10- 15 years of experience in mechanical design (MEP projects). • Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems design. • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD and relevant design software such as (HAP). • Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Software: • BIM & Revit MEP (Advanced) Proficiency. • AutoCAD (Advanced) Proficiency. • HAP / IES (or similar). • Navisworks (preferred).Technical Skills: • All calculations and systems sizing • Equipment selection and design review • Strong coordination with Architecture & Structure • Knowledge of local authority regulations and approvals (UAE) • Experience in MEP consultancy in UAE Projects Other Skills: • Strong English communication. • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Ability to lead team of engineers and draftsmen. • Problem-solving mindset.
