About the role
Operate twin-screw extruders, mixers, compounding machines, and auxiliary equipment for white and colour masterbatch production.Accurately weigh, dose, and feed raw materials (polymeric carriers, white pigments like TiO2, colour pigments, and functional additives) according to approved formulation sheets.Monitor process parameters (temperatures, screw speed, pressure, cutter speed, and cooling water flow) to ensure consistent product dispersion and quality.coordinating with the QC laboratory for colour checks and visual inspections on initial and ongoing production runs and spectral analysis.Troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical faults on the extrusion lines and report major issues to the maintenance team.Ensure proper packaging, labelling, and palletizing of finished masterbatch products.Adhere strictly to company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures, wearing required PPE and handling chemicals/pigments safely.Perform thorough cleaning of extruders, dies, and mixing equipment during color changeovers to avoid cross-contamination.Maintain daily production logs, raw material consumption records, and shift handover reports.
Industrial / Technical Diploma, Technical Institute, or an equivalent qualification.3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in plastics manufacturing, specifically operating twin-screw extruders and compounding lines.Demonstrated experience in White and Color Masterbatch production is essential.Proficiency in operating twin-screw extruders, gravimetric / volumetric feeders, and pelletizers.
