About the role
Duties & Responsibilities:Provide advanced HVAC engineering expertise to the design team, ensuring all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.Lead the review and evaluation of HVAC designs, specifications, BOQ and plans to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility.Offer innovative solutions to complex HVAC engineering problems and provide guidance on best practices for building mechanical systems.Use advanced design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to create detailed HVAC plans, schematics, and layouts, and oversee the work of junior mechanical engineers.Ensure HVAC designs integrate seamlessly with architectural, structural, and MEP (Fire Protection, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.Review and interpret building codes, regulations, and standards to ensure project designs meet the all legal and safety requirements.Develop and implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet the highest quality standards project requirments and deadlines.Conduct regular reviews and audits of mechanical designs to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.Work closely with the engineering design team, architectural design team, and other internal stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.Coordinate with suppliers and technical advisors to obtain necessary information, materials, and support for mechanical engineering aspects of projects.Arrange and facilitate meetings for the design team with suppliers and technical advisors to discuss project requirements and technical details.Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project team members.Prepare advanced HVAC engineering reports, documentation, and presentations to support project planning and decision-making.Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and stored appropriately.Provide regular updates to senior management on mechanical engineering progress, technical issues, and compliance matters.Prepare and review minutes of meetings for internal technical discussions.Identify opportunities for technical improvement and innovation in mechanical engineering designs and processes.Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance project quality and efficiency.Mentor and guide junior HVAC engineers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Identify training and development needs within the team and provide opportunities for professional growth.Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to junior team members.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.Professional certification or licensure in HVAC engineering is advantageous.Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in HVAC engineering design, with a focus on leading complex projects and mentoring junior engineers.
