Connect your domain to a Mrfqy storefront: CNAME and DNS assignment guide
Storefront assignment, CNAME targets, propagation checks, and SSL — connect a purchased or external domain to your bilingual Mrfqy store without breaking email.
A Mrfqy store on yourname.mrfqy.store works on day one, but customers trust mybrand.com on invoices, Google results, and WhatsApp link previews. After you buy or transfer a domain into Mrfqy, the Assignment panel connects it to a specific storefront — Mrfqy issues the DNS instructions (typically a CNAME) and provisions HTTPS once propagation completes. This guide walks Arab merchants through assignment modes, registrar clicks, and verification habits that prevent Friday-night outages.
Three assignment modes explained
Standalone (unassigned) holds the domain in your portfolio — no storefront routing yet. Use this while you build catalog or hold a defensive name.
Connect to storefront binds the domain to one Mrfqy store — shoppers hitting www.mybrand.com see your bilingual theme, cart, and checkout.
Custom DNS mode hands you the record editor for MX, TXT, and advanced routing — choose this when the domain powers email plus a subdomain store.
Only active domains allow assignment changes — wait for registration to complete before editing DNS at your registrar.
CNAME setup at your DNS host
Select Connect to storefront in admin → Domains → your domain → Assignment. Pick the store from the dropdown if you manage multiple brands.
Mrfqy displays the CNAME host and target — often www pointing to a Mrfqy edge hostname. Copy exactly; trailing dots matter on some registrars.
At GoDaddy, Namecheap, Saudi NIC, or UAE registrar panels, create a CNAME record — not A record — unless Mrfqy instructs otherwise for apex domains.
Root apex (mybrand.com without www) may need ALIAS/ANAME or a redirect rule — many Arab merchants forward apex to www for simplicity.
