About the role
Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for key spend categories.Lead local and regional tenders to achieve optimal cost, quality, and supplier performance.Conduct spend analysis and market intelligence to identify sourcing opportunities.Develop category management strategies aligned with corporate procurement objectives.Lead supplier negotiations and long-term contract establishment.Drive cost optimization initiatives including cost avoidance and value engineering.Manage supplier performance management and continuous improvement programs.Collaborate with global procurement teams for cross-regional sourcing opportunities.Support implementation of digital procurement tools and procurement transformation initiatives.Mentor procurement staff and ensure alignment with procurement governance. Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.7–10 years procurement experience, including strategic sourcing experience within Maine terminals industry.Experience in industrial, maritime, logistics, or infrastructure sectors.Experience leading large value tenders and global supplier negotiations.Professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, or MBA) preferred.
