We're looking for an ASP.NET Developer with around 1 year of experience who is skilled at using AI tools to write, debug, and improve code. You'll help build and maintain web applications and APIs using ASP.NET and C#, while using AI assistants to work faster and learn quickly. This is a great fit for an early-career developer who is genuinely productive with AI tools and eager to grow into a strong engineer. What You'll Do- Build and maintain web applications and APIs using ASP.NET Core, C#, and the .NET ecosystem.- Write clean, working code with the help of AI coding assistants — and review that output critically instead of trusting it blindly.- Implement features, fix bugs, and improve existing code.- Work with databases (SQL Server / Entity Framework), writing and optimizing queries.- Build and consume RESTful APIs.- Use AI tools to speed up debugging, refactoring, writing tests, and generating documentation.- Collaborate with the team using Git, pull requests, and code reviews.- Learn the codebase and the business domain quickly, asking good questions along the way.
- Around 1 year of experience developing with ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core and C#.- Solid C# fundamentals (OOP, async/await, LINQ).- Experience with at least one front-end basics layer: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Razor, Blazor, or a JS framework is a plus).- Experience with relational databases (SQL Server preferred) and an ORM like Entity Framework.- Comfortable building or consuming REST APIs.- Hands-on, practical skill using AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar) to write and debug code effectively.- Familiarity with Git and basic version-control workflows.- Good problem-solving skills and the judgment to verify AI-generated code rather than ship it unchecked.- Clear communication and willingness to learn. Nice to Have- Experience with Blazor, MVC, or Web API in depth.- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred, or AWS).- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Docker.- Experience writing unit tests (xUnit, NUnit).- Prompt engineering skill for generating code, tests, or documentation.- Interest in integrating AI features into applications (e.g., calling LLM APIs, building chat or assistant features). How We Use AI in Development (so you know what to expect)- *Coding:* AI assistants for writing, refactoring, and explaining code.- *Debugging:* using AI to investigate errors and suggest fixes faster.- *Testing & docs:* generating draft unit tests and documentation, then reviewing them.- *Learning:* using AI to ramp up on unfamiliar parts of the codebase. We treat AI as a tool that makes good developers faster — not a substitute for understanding your own code. You're always expected to review and own what you ship. What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)- Comfortable with our codebase, tools, and Git workflow.- Shipping features and bug fixes with minimal hand-holding.- Using AI tools to work efficiently while producing reliable, reviewed code.- Growing your C# / ASP.NET depth and contributing well within the team.
