About the role
Oversee and manage all technical office activities related to construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.Prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and consultants to resolve technical issues and provide effective solutions.Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with design requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.Conduct quantity surveying, cost estimation, and prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) for various project phases.Review and validate contractor and supplier submittals to ensure adherence to project requirements.Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and updates on project status.Support the preparation of project reports, schedules, and progress documentation.Ensure all technical office activities are documented and archived according to company policies.
Education• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.• Professional certifications are a plus (PMP, Primavera, Contract Management, etc.).Experience & Technical Skills• 3-5 years of proven experience in Technical Office works for construction projects.• Strong experience in:• Shop drawings preparation, review, and coordination.• Method statements and work procedures.• Quantity take-offs and BOQs preparation/review.• Material submittals and technical approvals.• Coordination with design consultants, site engineers, and subcontractors.• Excellent knowledge of:• Construction drawings, specifications, and standards.• Value engineering and cost control.• Change orders, variations, and claims preparation.• IFC drawings and as-built drawings.• Familiar with contract types (FIDIC preferred) and project documentation.Planning & Cost Control• Ability to support planning engineers in:• Reviewing schedules and technical sequences.• Analyzing delays and technical impacts.• Experience in pricing variations and preparing technical justifications.Software Skills• AutoCAD (mandatory)• MS Excel & MS Office (advanced level)• Primavera P6 (preferred)• Revit / BIM experience is a plus.
