About the role
Prepare and record journal entries accurately and timely.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Perform bank, vendor, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations.Review financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.Prepare and submit VAT, withholding tax, and other tax returns in compliance with local regulations.Issue and manage e-invoices and e-receipts through the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) system.Follow up on invoice validation, rejection cases, and required corrections.Maintain tax records and support tax audits, inquiries, and reconciliations.Monitor tax deadlines and stay updated on tax laws and regulatory changes.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in accounting, taxation, or a similar role. Good understanding of General Ledger accounting principles. Basic knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus. Strong analytical and numerical skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations is an advantage.
