Orient Group for Food Industries is looking for a Procurement Manager who can help shape the next stage of our growth.Job Purpose To lead and optimize the organization's procurement function by ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and supplier performance. The role is responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, building sustainable supplier partnerships, mitigating supply chain risks, and delivering measurable value that supports operational excellence, business growth, and long-term profitability. Operational ResponsibilitiesParticipate with the Supply Chain & Procurement Manager in preparing and reviewing the procurement budget.Supervise market research and supplier evaluation to select the most suitable suppliers based on quality, cost, and commitment.Monitor inventory data in coordination with the Warehousing Department to ensure an optimal balance between material availability and cost efficiency.Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring alignment with approved production plans.Review and approve all procurement documentation and purchasing cycle processes (PR – RFQ – PO – Contracts).Follow up on purchase order execution and ensure suppliers' compliance with contractual terms and conditions.Oversee inspection and receiving activities in coordination with the relevant departments.Monitor supplier payments in coordination with the Finance Department.Review periodic reports and analyze procurement performance indicators.Strategic ResponsibilitiesExecute procurement strategies in alignment with the company's objectives and growth plans.Develop medium- and long-term plans for cost management and sustainable savings initiatives.Establish sourcing strategies for different purchasing categories (Strategic / Critical / Routine).Build and manage strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure supply continuity and improve contractual terms.Lead cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality or production continuity.Assess supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions.Support digital transformation initiatives through the implementation and effective utilization of ERP systems and process optimization.Develop and enhance procurement policies and procedures in line with international best practices.Participate in Make-or-Buy decisions in coordination with relevant departments.Prepare analytical reports for senior management, providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations. Leadership & Team Management ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop the procurement team to enhance both technical and behavioral competencies.Define clear performance indicators and monitor team achievements against targets.Foster a culture of compliance, transparency, accountability, and results orientation within the department.Manage priorities effectively and ensure efficient allocation of responsibilities across the team.
• Solid experience leading procurement teams within a manufacturing environment.• Strong background in supplier management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations.• Proven ability to drive cost-saving initiatives and improve procurement performance.• Experience working with ERP systems and data-driven decision making.• A hands-on leader who can balance operational priorities with long-term strategy.• Food manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
