About the role
Actively participate in and support all university activities that enhance student engagement, retention, and academic success.Handle general administrative duties, including welcoming visitors and students, responding to inquiries, managing files, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining an organized office environment.Recruit, train, and supervise student assistants assigned to the Student Life Office and Recreation Room.Assist in managing the department budget by monitoring expenses, processing purchase requests, and overseeing financial transactions related to office operations.Manage and regularly update the main campus event calendars to ensure effective communication and coordination across departments.Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the Student Service Fee Advisory Committee.Coordinate and oversee student life facility booking requests in collaboration with the Master Calendar Coordinator to ensure smooth scheduling and event execution.Advise, mentor, and oversee the Student Union, student clubs, and academic models (e.g., MUN), ensuring their initiatives align with university values and compliance standards.Serve as a key point of contact for student well-being, providing guidance on campus resources and managing initial interventions during student crises or conflicts.Collaborate with internal departments to ensure student events comply with both university safety policies and local regulatory/Ministry requirements.Develop and execute targeted orientation and integration programs for new, transferring, and international students to boost campus engagement.Perform any additional new tasks assigned by management that are within the same specialty and nature of daily work.
Bachelor’s degree in any related field required.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
