Develop and implement group-wide export logistics strategies aligned with business growth objectives.Manage end-to-end export logistics operations from order receipt through final shipment.Coordinate export shipments from multiple manufacturing plants to international markets.Ensure timely delivery while optimizing freight costs and transit times.Monitor export order fulfillment and shipment status.Manage ocean, road, rail, and multimodal transportation for export shipments.Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.Optimize container utilization and loading efficiency.Monitor shipping schedules, vessel bookings, and transit performance.Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).Ensure accurate preparation of export documentation, including:Commercial InvoicesPacking ListsCertificates of OriginBills of LadingExport DeclarationsInspection CertificatesInsurance CertificatesLetters of Credit documentationEnsure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.Coordinate customs clearance activities with customs brokers.Maintain compliance with import/export regulations in destination countries.Coordinate closely with Sales, Customer Service, Production Planning, and Manufacturing to meet customer delivery schedules.Manage export order priorities based on production availability and shipping schedules.Communicate shipment status to customers and internal stakeholders.Resolve export-related delivery issues promptly.Coordinate container bookings with shipping lines.Monitor container availability and equipment allocation.Oversee loading operations to ensure safe handling of fragile glass containers.Coordinate port activities and terminal operations.Minimize container detention and demurrage charges.Develop and manage export logistics budgets.Analyze freight costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.Monitor ocean freight, inland transportation, port handling, customs, and warehousing expenses.Recommend logistics network improvements to enhance efficiency.Coordinate finished goods availability with production plants.Optimize export warehouse inventory levels.Ensure timely movement of finished products from manufacturing plants to ports.Monitor export inventory aging.Identify risks affecting export logistics operations.Develop contingency plans for shipping delays, port congestion, vessel cancellations, and geopolitical disruptions.Ensure appropriate cargo insurance coverage.Minimize product damage during transportation.Monitor logistics performance across all plants and export markets.Prepare monthly logistics performance reports.Drive continuous improvement initiatives.Lead and develop export logistics teams across the group.Coach logistics coordinators and export specialists.Logistics cost as a percentage of export salesOcean freight cost savingsExport documentation accuracyCustoms clearance lead timeShipping schedule adherenceTransit time performanceProduct breakage during export transportationDemurrage and detention costsCustomer satisfactionExport claim rate
