Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Senior Cloud & VMware Engineer to join our IT team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our virtualization, storage, backup, cloud, and network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with VMware technologies, enterprise storage, backup solutions, and network infrastructure, along with a passion for delivering reliable and secure IT services.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, administer, and optimize VMware vSphere and Hyper-V environments.Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot VMware infrastructure and related components.Monitor and maintain virtual infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.Install, configure, and manage VMware Aria Operations (vRealize Operations) and VMware Aria Operations for Logs (vRealize Log Insight).Install, update, and maintain operating systems, service packs, security patches, and bug fixes.Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Dell EMC Storage solutions.Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Veeam Backup & Replication.Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and QoS.Ensure network reliability, security, scalability, and high availability.Monitor infrastructure performance and recommend improvements to optimize system efficiency.Support infrastructure automation and integrate compute, storage, and network management solutions.Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide timely technical support.Maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures, and operational guidelines.
EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent certifications).Experience2+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere administration.2+ years of experience with enterprise storage and backup solutions.Experience with Dell EMC Storage and Veeam Backup & Replication.Experience with VMware Aria Operations (vRealize Operations) and Aria Operations for Logs (vRealize Log Insight).Good understanding of virtualization, cloud infrastructure, networking, and system administration.Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and performance analysis tools.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Very good command of written and spoken English.Preferred Technical SkillsVMware vSphereVMware Aria Suite (vRealize Operations & Log Insight)Hyper-VDell EMC StorageVeeam Backup & ReplicationNetworking (Routing, Switching, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancing)Windows Server & Linux AdministrationCertificationsRequiredVMware Certified Professional (VCP)CCNAPreferredCCNP Enterprise (Routing & Switching)Linux Certification (RHCSA or equivalent)Microsoft Certification (MCSE or equivalent)
