Job SummaryElectraTec is seeking a motivated and technically competent Switchboard Sales Engineer to join its growing sales team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in low voltage electrical distribution systems and a proven track record in selling low voltage switchboards, medium voltage ring main units and related solutions.
The role involves identifying new business opportunities, preparing technical and commercial proposals, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesPromote and sell ElectraTec's Low Voltage product range, including Main Distribution Boards (MDB), Motor Control Centers (MCC), Power Control Centers (PCC), Sub Distribution Boards (SDB), Synchronization Panels, Capacitor Banks, Control Panels and medium voltage ring main units.Identify and develop new business opportunities in the industrial, commercial, infrastructure, utility, and construction sectors.Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, panel builders, EPC companies, developers, and end users.Prepare technical and commercial quotations in coordination with the engineering and estimation teams.Review project specifications, single-line diagrams, and tender documents to ensure compliance with customer requirements.Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for customers and consultants.Negotiate commercial terms and close sales opportunities.Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed orders.Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution.Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer visits, and project pipelines.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify new opportunities.Provide excellent after-sales support and maintain long-term customer relationships.Represent the company at exhibitions, seminars, and customer meetings when required.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering.Additional sales or marketing training is an advantage.ExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience in the sales of Low Voltage electrical systems.Proven experience in preparing technical and commercial offers for electrical switchboards.Experience working with electrical panel manufacturers, EPC contractors, electrical distributors, or system integrators.Familiarity with governmental and private sector tenders is preferred.Required SkillsStrong technical and commercial aptitude.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Negotiation and relationship-building skills.Ability to read and interpret electrical specifications and drawings.Strong customer service orientation.Good organizational and time management skills.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Good command of written and spoken English.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.Number of new customers acquired.Quotation-to-order conversion rate.Order intake and revenue growth.Gross profit margin.Customer retention and satisfaction.Timely submission of quotations and proposals.Accuracy of sales forecasting.Number of customer visits and technical presentations conducted.Preferred Industry BackgroundCandidates with experience in any of the following industries are encouraged to apply:Low Voltage Switchboard ManufacturingSF6 Ring Main Units Manufucturing.Electrical Distribution SystemsIndustrial AutomationBuilding ServicesUtilities and Infrastructure Projects
