Accounting Supervisor - General Ledger

General PurposeResponsible for accounting activities related to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements. Management and oversight of team members including coaching, mentoring, training and career development. Support Monthly and Annual Close Processes, Ensure Data Accuracy, Analyze Financial Information, Reconcile Accounts, Prepare Journal Entries Key Responsibilities / TasksAssist the Operations Financial Controller in updating and applying company policies and procedures and identify the business opportunities that improve the Operations KPIs.Assure compliance to company policies regarding the plant scrap sale.Ensure accurate cost center allocation and proper posting to the account's ledger.Ensure accurate recording of the Operations expenditure in the appropriate journals and ledgers.Measure and report the operations' monthly performance; both manufacturing and supply chain identify the opportunities and improve efficiency.Provide the Operations team with a scorecard of performance, measuring KPIs like cost per ton, cost per KM, cost per pallet, and people cost productivity.Run the monthly Operations forecast and ensure all targets are met.Support the Operations CI team with the cost-saving initiatives assessment. ExperienceMinimum 4-6 years of experience Skills/ QualificationsAbility to apply logical judgment to diverse, challenging situations.Able to simplify complicated accounting matters, especially to the non-accounting professionals, and act with the business partner mentality.Demonstrate management skills such as staff development, leadership, and control principles.Outstanding skills in using MS Office packages, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.Recognize the principles of internal auditing.Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are a must.
