We are looking for someone who has lived inside SAP for more than a decade and wants a system they can take ownership of rather than supervise from a distance. You read a configuration and know what's sound and what's been mis-built. You've cleaned master data that others let decay and stood across the table from an implementation partner, refusing work that didn't meet the standard. You lead a small specialist team without losing your own hands-on edge, and you can make a thorny SAP reality intelligible to a finance or procurement head who doesn't care how it works—only that it does.Key ResponsibilitiesTake direct authority over how the SAP platform is configured and unwind what has been set up wrong.Make the SAP landscape correct, clean, and reliable—and keep it that way.Establish master data structure, ownership, and the governance that prevents it from sliding back.Drive the working-level delivery of SAP implementation and re-configuration efforts.Personally validate implementation partner deliverables to ensure they meet the required standard.Run the system day to day across finance, procurement, project, and inventory processes for a large user base.Maintain transaction integrity through effective issue triage, change control, and operational discipline.Set the technical standard for the SAP section and ensure it is consistently upheld.Lead a small specialist team while remaining actively involved in hands-on technical work.Communicate complex SAP realities clearly to business stakeholders across finance and procurement.
12+ years in SAP, with strong hands-on S/4HANA configuration experienceAt least one full implementation delivered through to live operationWorking command across finance and controlling, materials and procurement, and project systems — not a single corner of the suiteA real record of building or rescuing master data and transaction integrity in a live environmentThe technical authority to direct an implementation partner and judge the quality of their workExperience leading a technical team; relevant degree; SAP certification a strong advantageSAP in construction, engineering, or another large project-based business — an advantage
