Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant owns Ayvo’s day-to-day accounting — keeping the books accurate, compliant, and audit-ready. Working primarily in Qoyod (our cloud accounting system of record), the role spans accounts payable and receivable, payroll, financial reporting, cash-flow monitoring, project profitability, tax compliance (VAT, ZATCA, GOSI, Zakat), and month-end close — while helping advance our move toward automated, structured finance workflows. BOOKKEEPING & GENERAL LEDGER Maintain accurate double-entry records in Qoyod with consistent COGS-vs-OPEX classification by department and correct project/department tagging on every line; reconcile the general ledger. ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE Issue customer invoices via Qoyod with ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoora); track receipts and AR aging by client; manage credit notes and collections. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Process supplier and vendor invoices; track recurring SaaS / subscription costs and allocate them by project and cost type; help formalize a structured AP process as we scale. BANK & CASH Run monthly reconciliations across KSA and Egypt accounts and cards; monitor liquidity; support cash-flow forecasting; correctly book partner-funded payments. PAYROLL Process Egypt core, KSA core, GOSI, and Wathiqa payroll including employer social insurance; allocate people costs by project and department; book partner-funded salaries to related-party accounts. FINANCIAL REPORTING Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, plus per-project P&L, partner balances, and VAT; support the management dashboard. PROJECT & CONTRACT Track revenue, cost, and profitability by project (client task orders and internal products); monitor contract value vs collections; support revenue recognition. TAX & COMPLIANCE File KSA VAT returns and maintain ZATCA e-invoicing (Phase 2 / Fatoora); handle GOSI and Zakat; liaise with external auditors. Experience with US (Delaware) and UAE regulations is a plus. MONTH-END & CONTROLS Lead month-end close in Qoyod (accruals, prepayments, depreciation); reconcile all balance-sheet and partner accounts; maintain a single source of truth and support finance automation (structured imports and n8n / API posting into Qoyod). Qualifications Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years’ accounting experience — consulting, technology, professional services, or project-based organizations preferred. Hands-on KSA VAT, ZATCA e-invoicing, and GOSI; multi-country operations. Cloud accounting — Qoyod strongly preferred (or Nodhom, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero). Strong management / cost accounting: COGS vs OPEX and project profitability. Comfort with finance automation and APIs (e.g. n8n) a real plus. Bilingual Arabic & English; meticulous, consistent, with strong ownership.
