Steel Structures Technical Office Manager

We are seeking a high-caliber, strategic, and detail-oriented Steel Structures Technical Office Manager to lead our team.The ideal candidate will oversee all technical office operations, managing engineering workflows, shop drawings, estimation, and technical compliance to support our major mega construction projects. Job Description: • Establish, direct, and optimize the workflow policies and standards for the Steel Structures Technical Office. • Overlook and approve the final preparation of comprehensive Shop Drawings, connection details, and fabrication drawings. • Validate final Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Material Take-Offs (MTO), and budget estimation reports. • Lead high-level technical coordination meetings between project owners, consultants, subcontractors, and site management. • Resolve complex structural engineering challenges, contractual variations, and claims. • Evaluate, audit, and approve subcontractor technical submittals, progress invoices, and material choices. • Mentor, evaluate, and develop the technical office engineering team to maximize productivity and efficiency. • Supervise close coordination with procurement and fabrication workshops to ensure precise alignment with project timelines. • Provide strategic technical risk assessment reports and updates directly to upper management. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. (Postgraduate degree is a plus). • Experience: +15 years of solid experience in Steel Structures Technical Office, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. • Industry: Mega Construction / Steel Fabrication sector experience is a MUST. • Software Skills: Deep expertise in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and advanced structural design/detailing workflows. • Leadership: Exceptional leadership, team building, contract negotiation, and problem-solving skills. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
