Key Responsibilities Quantity Take-Offs & MeasurementPerform comprehensive and highly accurate material take-offs (MTO) for all electrical systems (including lighting, power distribution, switchgear, generators, cables, conduits, containment systems, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV/low-current systems) from tender drawings, single line diagrams (SLDs), schematic layouts, and specifications.Utilize digital measurement software (such as PlanSwift or CostX or specialized electrical take-off tools) to generate clear, verifiable quantification sheets.Cross-check electrical, single-line, and riser drawings against the provided Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to identify discrepancies, omissions, design gaps, or volume variances.Prepare clear floating RFQ packages containing relevant electrical specifications, datasheets, and drawings to send to specialized sub-contractors, system integrators, and equipment suppliers (e.g., switchgear, transformer, generator, and ELV manufacturers).Draft detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in accordance with standard methods of measurement.
Pricing Support & Rate AnalysisGather updated market prices for standard electrical equipment, cables, conduits, and accessories, maintaining an internal database of current vendor and manufacturer rates.
Tender AdministrationAssist the tendering team in assembling the final technical and commercial tender submittal dossiers, ensuring all electrical clarifications, compliance sheets, and supplier quotes are accurately incorporated.
