Arab Consulting Engineers (Moharram
• Bakhoum) is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical – Power & Light Current Design Engineer to join our Design Team.
If you have a strong background in electrical building design and are passionate about delivering innovative, high-quality engineering solutions for large-scale projects, we would love to hear from you.In this role, you will be responsible for the design, review, and coordination of power and light current systems across a diverse portfolio of building projects.
You will ensure that all designs comply with international codes, industry standards, and project requirements while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient, reliable, and sustainable engineering solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare electrical design drawings and calculations for Power, Lighting, Earthing, Lightning Protection, and Light Current Systems.Develop load calculations, voltage drop calculations, cable sizing, and panel schedules.Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, and design reports.Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure integrated designs.Review shop drawings and material submittals.Ensure compliance with local codes, IEC, NFPA, and project specifications.Support project teams during design development and technical discussions with clients.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.7–10 years of experience in electrical building design.Strong experience in Power & Light Current Systems.Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD is a must.Experience with Dialux Evo and ETAP is preferred.Excellent knowledge of electrical design codes and standards.Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.Hospitality, commercial, mixed-use, or mega project experience is an advantage.
