Job SummaryABCO Group is seeking a General Purchasing Specialist to manage the procurement of general goods and services required for the company's daily operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, obtaining competitive quotations, negotiating with vendors, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesHandle all general purchasing activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers.Obtain and compare quotations to ensure the best value for the company.Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.Prepare purchase orders and follow up until goods or services are received.Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements.Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues.Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier documentation.Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures and applicable regulations.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in general purchasing or procurement.Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.Good analytical and organizational abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.Good command of English.
